Radiographic Testing

Radiographic Testing

Pudsey Test & Inspection Ltd offer extensive in-house and on-site radiography facilities based on 30 years of experience in every field of radiographic testing.
Radiographic testing (RT) is a non-destructive testing method of inspecting materials and welds for internal and external flaws. It does this by capturing the image produced by electromagnetic radiation as it passed through a material. The radiation can be produced by either an X-ray machine or a radioactive Isotope such as Ird-192 or Se-75.

Industrial Radiography

A two-dimensional image is captured by a film and is known as a radiograph - much in the same way you would see an X-ray at a hospital, although the energies used in industrial radiography are considerably higher.
